How it started…
After tearing my left quad muscle during football camp at Defiance College in 2007, my sophomore year, I decided I wanted to continue to stay active with athletics. Since I previously enrolled in Work-Study, I applied for a media position within Sports Information Department and eventually began photographing our various teams.
That same year I took a photography class, learned the art of 35mm photography, and developed my photographs. I wish I could go back and take that class now. I would love to see my work, especially understanding camera settings.
Throughout my time at Defiance College, my skills behind the lens increased due to the established photographers I stood beside on the sidelines. If it were not for those individuals, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
